MENU Hashira Pendant, Large, Raw Linen

Menu’s Hashira pendant is a modern, stripped interpretation of a traditional Japanese rice paper lantern by design duo Norm Architects, Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen. The minimalist shade made from a linen fabric creates an intriguing contradiction: while it gives the luminaire its sculptural, column-like form together with the visible structure, it also diffuses the light into an extraordinarily soft and ambient glow. The elegant, understated form of the Hashira pendant fits just as perfectly in the bedroom or dining room as it does in public spaces.
